William Runco is a 1981 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. Bill has considerable experience in litigating commercial legal matters. In addition, he has served a total of 20 years in public office, first as a legislator and subsequently as a trial judge who presided over both civil and criminal cases. Bill, also, has significant executive experience in healthcare administration, having served as the Chief Operating Officer of an 850-member independent private practice-multi specialty physician organization that annually provided more than $200,000,000 of healthcare services to more than 100,000 assigned patients. During his service as a trial judge, Bill was elected by his peers to leadership positions on three separate occasions. He has served as President of the Michigan Distract Judges Association, Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan Judicial Conference, and was a member of the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission.
Most recently, Bill has served as outside litigation counsel for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in connection with Medicaid subrogation matters.
